The Weeknd There is ALOT of things that are bad about this movie, dang I actually feel bad for watching it. I thought it was super messed up when the main character ( Scott adkins) kills the officer ( who was a wrestle before) straight out with a gun when that fight was supposed to be fair with only contact fighting damn, and it didn’t seem logical that when Martin Tillman is in plane sight killing all those officers with an AK 47 and the officers who have WAY more better fire arms than him, don’t even hit him in the fricking arm or leg. This movie is pure garbage a college student film type of movie. Absolute crap Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/11/22 Full Review Audience Member One off my favorite movies where Director, Jesse V. Johnson, teams up with Martial Arts action stars Scott Adkins. Set in 1959 Indochina the story is ripe with characters with secrets and compromised morality. Adkins captures the attention of the audience with his strong, silent demeanor. He is sympathetic as a man trying to overcome his past but dragged into the underbelly of the underground fight scene. Cung Le and Marko Zaror are stand outs in the villain roles. Juju Chan pleasantly surprises in her dramatic role, although I couldn't help wanting to see her display her adept martial arts skills. If you have never seen a Scott Adkins movie this is a great one to start with. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Low budget sets, worthless dialogue, a simplistic plot, and a series of obviously choreographed fight scenes. I have watched professional bare knuckle fights, and the fighting and damage done do not compare to this movie in any way. Since the fighting is the only reason to watch this movie, it would be beneficial if it was a little more realistic and looked less like a karate kata. In a real fight, dodged punches don't miss by a foot or more. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Michael B Entertaining action from the best in the business at the moment. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/22/19 Full Review Audience Member Adkins: First Blood. EPIC! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Scott Adkins is brilliant I was invested in the story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/19 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Justin Lowe Hollywood Reporter Consistently delivers the goods. Aug 8, 2017 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety "Savage Dog" is a good deal less than watertight in terms of logic and credibility, but Adkins' blunt-force physicality is sufficiently impressive ... Aug 4, 2017 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times There's not enough story here but every time David pops up on the soundtrack to spout dime-novel clichs ... this movie takes on the quality of classic storybook, not straight-to-video schlock. Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Ernesto Zelaya Miñano ScreenAnarchy While nothing groundbreaking, Savage Dog is a bloody good time for action junkies who need a fix. Feb 3, 2023 Full Review Leigh Monson Substream Magazine This is a film for only the hardiest of cinema masochists, and even then one should question what they're doing with their life. Rated: 1/5 Sep 25, 2020 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed The film is built to showcase Scott Adkins and is definitely more for his fans and those of Zaror, but it's still fun for the casual action film audience.
