Audience Member There's not really not much too this movie so you shouldn't expect all that much. The best thing about Savages is Andy Griffith. He is just pure EVIL & you can feel it through the screen.Savages is worth watching at least once just to see him as the evil lawyer who chases & tortures his hunting guide across the desert to (Hopefully) see him get his in the end ......or does he??? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Andy Griffith in an uncharacteristic role as a brutal villain, stalks hunting guide Sam Bottoms across harsh desert to eliminate Bottoms as a witness after Griffith accidentally shoots a prospector (Beery). Griffith makes a superb villain, perhaps all the more effectively because we are used to seeing him as a good guy. When he runs out of bullets, Griffith cruelly hunts Bottoms with a ball bearings fired from a hunting slingshot. I'll never look at a Wham-O "Wrist Rocket" the same way again. Good characterizations, gritty action and excitement, Not too damn bad for a made for TV movie! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
