Melissa M I saw this movie for the first time. Talk about about an eclectic group of actors. Where else would you see a movie that has Cloris leachman, Vincent Price, Tony Randall, Arnold Schwarzenegger, rowdy McDowell, Richard mulligan, Cleveland little, Dirk Benedict, Willie ames, scatman crothers,. Wow. It's such an offbeat movie. Maybe a lot of the scenery is very dated. But then again it's an imaginative movie. With a creative storyline. Which is seriously lacking in Hollywood these days. It's all sequels and prequels now. Or remix. Whatever happened to Hollywood's imagination. Granted the movie is very politically incorrect. I definitely would recommend this movie. If you love offbeat comedies. I would absolutely watch it again. It's a shame these days that Hollywood is lacking in imagination. Some of the items that they characters have to find in the movie scavenger hunt are quite unique too. One of the characters has to steal a toilet from a fancy hotel. Another character has to borrow items like a clown head from a Jack in the box. I don't want to give away too much of the movie. But it's definitely worth checking out Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/25 Full Review Scott G I fully acknowledge that my review of this movie is, in part, based on nostalgia alone. I feel like I saw this movie a hundred times as a kid in the very early 80s. It must have been in constant rotation on HBO, Showtime, The Movie Channel, etc. That said, I love the whole cast. The movie is simple and ridiculous, and it drags just a little in the middle, around when they find the beehive, but finishes with a flurry in a madcap ending with all the stars together. Some of my friends and I still quote lines from this movie regularly “they killed Montclair!” or “for the true ice cream lover, there is only one flavor - Va-NILLLLL-a!” It’s always fun to watch this and see the sights of 1970s San Diego. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Audience Member Yes, this is a silly farce. So were "Animal House" and "The Blues Brothers", and they are considered classics. I liked this better; certainly it's more suited for the whole family. The plot is simple: wealthy Milton Parker has died and his will specifies that his survivors (servants as well as relatives) must complete in a scavenger hunt to gather up various items, which must be taken and not purchased. The items are placed into various bins per group of competitors, and the items are awarded points. Those who get the most points by the end of the time period wins the fortune while the others get nothing. The rest of the movie consists of funny ways for the various groups to get the items and making it back to the home with them, along with one family who resorts to stealing from the others. Not high art, but good low art. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member All star casts have a tendency to be over rated, this one, however, is everything you want in an all star cast. The fun never stops as you find yourself giggling through one crazy adventure after another. And EVERY STAR is wildly hilarious. You get your monies worth on this one. Enjoy Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought this was a pretty good film. It wasn't the best but it was really good I highly enjoyed the comedy.
