What to Know

Critics Consensus

Less a return to Scream's roots than a disappointing creative regression, this seventh entry draws little blood with its dull knife of a script.

There just isn’t that much meta commentary you can supply for horror franchises this deep into their existence, except that they mostly suck. Go to Full Review

The true test of a Scream movie is the quality of the villain behind the Ghostface mask. By that metric, this instalment is thin gruel indeed. Go to Full Review

But really, this shouldn’t be a wallow in trivia but a new reason to watch. "Scream 6" introduced new characters. Now it’s back to the beginning, where we can easily exit. Go to Full Review

I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a good time, but I can’t say that the movie makes a case for more Scream movies. Go to Full Review

Sidney should have been more protective than what was shown. Her characterization didn't make any sense given what she's been through. The kills were good and overall the movie was entertaining. It just wasn't very memorable. Go to Full Review

Brian N 1h Decent movie. Not as good as previous because of the reveal. I think I could have written it better to get a 90% rating. See more Alex 1h Had its parts, but they can end the series now! See more Wilfredo 2h The movie was all over the place. Felt like they had no clue where they wanted to take the plot. It was decent, but that ending was ass. See more Kirstin 4h This Scream was full of nostalgia in such a good way! For me, Sidney being a wife and mother now brought a whole new set of feelings. One kill stands out to me as a top teir "Terrifier" style kill ,and it was awesome! I really liked this movie and I'm standing by my 5 stars. We all love a good Scream twist... this one was very fitting for keeping up with current times, but I cant help feeling a smidge let down. I can't explain that any further without giving away spoilers. See more Andrew 4h Killer movie 10/10, but people were talking and on phones while time was annoying af See more Amanda G 9h Stupid this movie was not needed See more Read all reviews
