Jo & Co I liked the movie more than Jo - she called it a load of CRP! I was expecting it to be a lot better because of how high the ratings it got. It was very, very, British in humour that would fall flat to the rest of the world. Like everybody in two groups that meet for the first time in a middle of trying to ru away from the zombies, stopping to socialize and introduce themselves. I roared out loud with people around me, and my Camanian wife, thinking I was nuts! I was in a comedy zombie movie myself that was advertised as another Shaun of the Dead. It wasn't. It was just awful - thanks mainly to the editing. The first half was better than the second half - as by then all the best jokes and situations were already done and it became repetitive. Maybe if I had seen it when it was first released and was not expecting a comedy horror movie with lots and lots of blood, I might have been one of the audience members who were wowed by it. By the time it had finished - and it isn't a long movie by today's standards - I found it boring and Jo found it complete nonsense - I am being polite as you can gather from what I told you she actually said. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Kimbley I left before movie started playing! There were about 7 other people in the same movie all being very loud! The movie sound was already loud and that was way to much going on. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/01/22 Full Review Tian T The warmest comedic-est zombie film I've ever watched. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Alastair S the perfect horror comedy, please make a sequel !!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review EmeraldBeast (Literally the best piece of dialouge I've ever heard) | Shawn - "He's not my boyfriend!" | Ned - "Might be a bit warm, the coolers off..." | Shawn - "Thanks babe :)" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Lukas K Had no idea what to expect from the movie but it was surprisingly extremely well-made. The best aspect is the pacing, it runs perfectly to make it interesting and witty. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Antonia Quirke London Evening Standard Shaun of the Dead is a cute, successful zombie spoof built on a central joke: if the undead actually came to London, supposedly turned-on town of nattering youth, no one would really notice. Dec 18, 2017 Full Review Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) It may only be April, but what we have here is pretty likely to be the British comedy of the year, its knockout final punchline planting a silly grin on your face that takes some while to fade. Oct 7, 2014 Full Review Wendy Ide Screen International Despite the emphasis on humour, Shaun shows its zombie movie credentials with some impressively gory special effects makeup and a willingness to despatch cast members in an exceptionally gruesome fashion. Oct 7, 2014 Full Review Noah Berlatsky Splice Today Twenty years after its release, Shaun of the Dead remains a joyfully silly showcase for director Edgar Wright’s hyperkinetic visual style. It’s also unsettlingly prescient. Apr 4, 2024 Full Review Dave Giannini InSession Film There are many excellent satires throughout basically every period in cinema. But many of them are not necessarily good movies on their own. That is why Shaun of the Dead is different. Feb 20, 2024 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Part deadpan farce—the survivors are downright unfazed at the sight of the shuffling undead—and part bloody slapstick spectacle, it isn’t a spoof so much as an ingenious twist on a familiar genre ...
