      Critics Consensus

More unsettling than truly scary, She Will casts a thoughtful, hypnotic spell made even stronger by its restrained approach and some strong performances.

rocktrim not quite sure what was going on there. maybe im not smart enough to interpret the subtle plot development. i think it was about healing properties of hallowed ground due to witches killed centuries before. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/19/22 Full Review Natalie Jo B Must see - really fantastic cinematography and cosmology Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/24 Full Review Kyle M It re-summons the 70s psychology with less visceral shock but eased unsettlingly whilst reasoning with the timely given thematic material as it creeps ominously to little, decently average impressive effect, powered by fine performative participations in one degree of inadvertent spiritual continuation. (B) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/31/23 Full Review Lwal W This movie SUCKS. So boring, if you like watching a product of feminist maturbation with not even a hint of creativity then watch this otherwise ignore the less than intelligent nipples who gave this 85 percent. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/15/23 Full Review Stacey L This might be one of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life. 10/10. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/10/23 Full Review WendyLSchmidt P Well, I don't know how to explain this film except that it has Alice Krige in a performance that is equally strong and vulnerable. She is the bitchy fading movie star and the traumatized young woman. The Scottish countryside provides a very dark and moody atmosphere. (amazing cinematography) So too does the real story of thousands of women being burned a century before. And how the very soil is soaked with their ashes. But more than that it is the story of how women must endure and survive in a world filled with men who abuse them. And how the power of women coming together can find a way to expose the ones who cause so much harm. . Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Edward Porter Times (UK) It might not chill you to the core, but it’s ripe and entertaining. Rated: 3/5 Aug 8, 2022 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Marries the spiralling, self-reflexive narrative of Shirley Jackson’s novel The Haunting of Hill House with echoes of the off-kilter visual sensibility of the 1962 cult oddity Carnival of Souls. Rated: 4/5 Jul 24, 2022 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) This is a very powerful film -- not so much good as disquieting and effective. Jul 22, 2022 Full Review Lee Zumpe Tampa Bay Newspapers In Ghent, Colbert explores how trauma distorts both the passage of time and reality itself, and how perspective and purpose are ultimately constructs that can — over a lifetime — evolve or evaporate. Oct 26, 2023 Full Review Nuha Hassan Nuha Hassan She Will is an elegant debut from Colbert, who manifests different gothic horror elements within the narrative and cinematography.
