As they're looking into the downing of a treasure ship -- supposedly by a massive squid -- Sherlock Holmes (Ben Syder) and Dr. Watson (Gareth David-Lloyd) get word that a dinosaur is running amok in London. This take on the classic detective pits Holmes against a reckless mastermind who uses extinct predators for devious means. Taken aback by the news that his long absent brother (Dominic Keating) has materialized, Holmes remains resolved to crack this case of science gone mad.

Supposed Sherlock Holmes spoof, this movie plays more like Sharknado meets Holmes movie, with a bit of the Dr. Who styled sci-fi as in walking tin iron man, flying dragons and dinosaurs in London. A badly cast Holmes and Watson weakens the movie,

The game is clearly not afoot. Skip this one, not even worth the watch on Netflix. I had it playing while doing some cleaning, was the only reason I got through it. So many goofs in it; modern day structures and such visible.

A steampunk Sherlock Holmes story set In 1940, Dr. Watson watches London burn for the second time (historically it would be the third time as there were German Zeppelin attacks in World War One) and feels he must tell the story of Sherlock Holmes' most painful case. The plot involves mechanical monsters, a clockwork woman, and Sherlock's older Brother, Thomas, a police inspector who was invalided in the line of duty. Thomas, and a plot against the Queen. Asylum films are low budget and completely insane, but they are fun. A staple on the Sci-Fi network, their films will never be mistaken for serious drama, but they adhere to the old Z grade horror movie style of fun.
