Ruhaan Shah Film Companion It is intimate and focused. It is not simply the action that shows the mouse's resilience, it is a combination of James Corden's compelling voiceover and phenomenal animations. May 26, 2020 Full Review Phil Hogan Observer (UK) Lovely animation. I particularly liked the casual mischief with the ants. Excellent. Jun 28, 2018 Full Review Christopher Lloyd Sarasota Herald-Tribune A charming computer animated tale about a little mouse who travels through the woods, rendered beautifully and in rhyme. Leaburn O It's an animation primarily for kids, presumably as they can stomach James Corden more than adults who should know better. In any case, it's pretty short and not very entertaining. Saw it on BBC iPlayer. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Mads S A funny story for kids Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I remember watching this a lot as a kid because I read the book and, the movie is just above average. The models look a bit weird and the animation looks a bit subpar for 2009 and the rhyming gets annoying at times, thereâ(TM)s also this squirrel family that is apparently telling the story and they keep interupting. Something that I did like though is the great visual sequences, this film has a lot of purely visual sequences and I think that their done well. I would definitely recommend to show this to your kids Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review michael w A cute cleverly written silly little film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I really do think this has the potential to become a classic children's short in the same vein of the ones I watched as a child. Maybe not on par with the Dr. Seuss stuff, but still up there. It really is just a lovely little movie. It can move a bit slow, but it has such a great atmosphere, gorgeous music, and some rather beautiful animation. The animation is somewhat noteworthy, as if you look at any individual screencap of the movie it doesn't seem like much. I don't know what it is, but watching it all in motion, it just looks so good. A simple movie, a simple message, but a nice little excursion through the woods. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A popular story (and singalong song in the car) in our house but this is a really solid adaptation. The mouse voiced by James Corden in particular is really charming and my son was completely engrossed for the short duration. Enough peril but at the right level for a toddler, not quite as heart warming as 'Stick Man' but still a really great BBC production. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
