Rex Reed Observer Wyle is so good as he goes through the stages of pain, rage, remorse and resignation that he keeps you caring and alert. Rated: 3/4 Sep 27, 2017 Full Review Amy Nicholson Variety 2nd Amendment advocates arming themselves against a Hollywood screed will be relieved that the film avoids political activism to focus on trauma and recovery. Rated: C Sep 22, 2017 Full Review John Anderson Wall Street Journal Shot certainly has a message, and implies villainy in the universe, but its story is about innocents. Sep 21, 2017 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed ... it's an effective film with plenty of talent behind and in front of the camera. Rated: 4/5 Apr 14, 2020 Full Review Frank Ochieng The Critical Movie Critics ...engrossing and sympathetically realized. However, Shot needed to embrace the gun control pulpit more fully than only scratching its surface and playing it sentimentally safe. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 1, 2019 Full Review Alex Arabian Film Inquiry Using acute, penetrating realism, a career-best performance from Wyle, air-tight writing incorporating pressing themes, and an unpredictable ending that will leave you speechless, Shot overwhelmingly succeeds as a film and a statement about our culture. dlma1 M Written and directed by Jeremy Kagan, it is the powerful story of Wyle's character being accidentally shot by Lendeborg's character. Leal plays Wyle estranged wife. The first 1/2 of the movie is a disturbing but involving view of Wyle's treatment in the ER along with occasional split screen views of Lendeborg trying to cover up his crime. Wyle's portrayal is particularly powerful as he struggles to recover from his injuries. Leal gives good support and Lendeborg is believable as the troubled, tortured teenage shooter who is devasted by his mistake. The ending is a bit rushed (and could have been better) but I would still recommend you find this one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Very moving story. I love the way it was shot. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review farah r Shot is a boring drama filmed in a weird way that looks more like a soap opera than a movie. It's trying to deliver an important message but doesn't have the right ingredients to help it achieve that. Not worth watching. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Frances H I liked this film and particularly its message. Noah Wyle gave a wonderful performance and I thought the ending was particularly good, as well as the pictures of his past that Mark sees in the lights over exam table in the hospital, as well as the moment by moment from the shooting to being wheeled into the operating room. A very good effort all around. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/23/18 Full Review Audience Member The new-in-theaters drama Shot starring Noah Wyle and Sharon Leal may look like a very special episode of a TV drama but it's a very effective very special episode of a TV drama. This anti-gun message movie, which does also play like an 87-minute public service announcement at times, nevertheless does have a valuable message. The shooting style may not blow you away but the performances are solid and the message is potent. https://geeks.media/movie-review-shot?_ga=2.155045112.1126457623.1513947710-953607229.1513947710 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
