steve d Katharine Isabelle gives a fantastic performance in a powerful film with well developed characters. More than just another kidnapping film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Not really a cat-and-mouse tale as set forth in the description. Instead, it is a well done drama about some seriously damaged individuals. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member As an art film maybe it is good but as a survival film blah. The plot holes were ginormous and frustrating. The city savvy Sarah is easily duped. It's fun to yell at the screen and to vent your frustration "Open the door!" "They don't have their seat belts on so crash the car!""Run down the road! The ROAD!". An open message to all Canadian Squeegee Kids: If you try to kidnap me you best have Bowie Knife and something with double barrels. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A very low budget but intreaguing film. Isabelle and Turton's performances are brilliant and intense. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Uniquely bizarre in some psychosexual dramatic mental rape kind of way, but it got to me. Despite all of it, I kept thinking it stood out in being so..well, what? Moving? Haunting? Special. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Put the kettle on and let it simmer. That's how this felt to this viewer. Sarah (Michelle Nolden) is trying to get away for an anniversary weekend with her high powered executive lover who gets stuck at the office at the last minute. Stuck in traffic, Sarah falls victim to a "wrong place at the wrong time" scenario and winds up abducted at knife point by a pair of street kids. Jenna (Katharine Isabelle) and Jackson (Kett Turton) are hustlers that seem to be making this up as they go along, and we are never sure who is in charge. The rest of the film concerns Sarah's efforts to stay alive and find a way out for all three of them. Several twists and turns, dirty little secrets, and the unpredictable nature of the situation keep the tension building. Never knowing when things might just explode was enough to keep this viewer mesmerized. Sarah proves more resilient than would first appear and the two younger actors brought just the right measure of insecurity, indecision, and apathy towards Sarah to their parts. You might not scream in terror, but you will certainly feel a knot in the pit of your stomach until the end. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Susan Walker Toronto Star Touches of authenticity and some savvy acting from the three leads draw the viewer into this first feature from Cassandra Nicolaou. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 19, 2005 Full Review Leah McLaren Globe and Mail This movie is a bad showcase for its actors and for the talents of the filmmaker herself. It's a bad investment for the CFC. And it's bad for the critics who have to suffer through it.
