Penelope L How they managed to make Sherlock Holmes (and every other character) look stupid is almost beyond comprehension (bad script, TERRIBLE ACTING, bad editing, bad-God-just bad everything besides costumes and sets), but they did! An insult to Sir ACD. Sigh. Makes one wonder if the "critics" who reviewed this positively were high or paid. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Jelisije J A Sherlock Holmes film that has little mystery and is really about a race for treasure with London's greatest detective. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/29/23 Full Review Audience Member In fairness a poor adaptation of a Holmes classic tale. Hidden treasure and a circus freak murdering those who get in his way. That's about it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member This TV film version of the classic Conan Doyle story is, like The Hound of the Baskervilles of the same series, a worthy telling of the tale but suffering from the dire miscasting of Ian Richardson as Sherlock Holmes. Richardson, whilst performing to all of his great ability, is physically unconvincing as the super-sleuth. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
