Graeme Robertson Flickering Myth Silence & Darkness stands out as a refreshing low-key and engaging drama/thriller that mostly succeeds thanks to its precious meticulous direction, unsettling atmosphere and a trio of superb acting performances. Feb 6, 2021 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills A small story that might as easily have been told in half an hour as these 80 minutes. But it holds our attention throughout that span, with the climactic revelations no less chilling for being delivered with as much restraint as everything prior. Feb 2, 2021 Full Review Rafaela Sales Ross Film Inquiry There are, nonetheless, merits to Silence & Darkness, its main triumph being the relationship between Anna and Beth. It is this incorruptible tie that deserves praise, it is quite a shame that - once it fully gains traction - the credits begin to roll. Jan 28, 2021 Full Review Margot Harrison Seven Days (VT) While Silence & Darkness doesn't quite click as a story, it's a unique and powerful experience because of [director Barak] Barkan's commitment to the formal minimalism implied by the title. Rated: 4/5 Jan 27, 2021 Full Review Rob Aldam Backseat Mafia A cleverly made combination of mystery, drama and thriller which succeeds due to the rapport between Walker and Glackin. Jan 23, 2021 Full Review Alex Cole Battle Royale With Cheese Silence & Darkness is a triumph of indie cinema. Jan 21, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Diana S Terrible title, decent film about blind and deaf sisters who live isolated with their doctor father who cares for them. Overall production was pretty impressive. Definitely not uplifting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/10/24 Full Review ZEHRA dfghjkkklşçöçxn cckvmldöm Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/24 Full Review Logan D Anna is blind. Beth is deaf. Two sisters living in a secluded town with a father whose mental health is questionable. One of those films I love to find. Very unique in its compilation of themes. I adore the relationship between the two sisters, caring and codependent. They have their own language composed of hand gestures and are able to see movies, one translating the visual, the other, the aural. We are drawn to them as characters and the chilling answers to their situation affect us as well as them. highly recommended Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/24 Full Review Read all reviews
