Fiona S Weep at the failure of Alicia Silverstone to launch into forty. In this badly developed script, she fails to find her character. Instead she grimaces and shrieks to convey her grand angst. She acts like a bunch of green grapes. In the end, you wonder if you're not the one on mind altering substances. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review AnnaStajsza C it was fine to watch in the background while working.. but confused how and why this is in the comedy section of netflix... it was stupid and the end made me mad... it was a really bad movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice try, but feels forced, the acting doesn't feel real, the dialogue is dull and cheesy. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I hated the main character. At first I thought we were supposed to, but then she got a happy ending. Woof. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member That's 1 hour and 32 minutes of my life I'll never get back... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member this is neither a romance nor.a comedy. please spare yourself wasting two hours of your life. it's actual hot fiery trash. if you want to BEG for a movie to end because it is a relentless onslaught of sad heterosexual wealthy white people dynamics you picked the right movie. body shaming, abortion shaming, depressing, misogyny woman tearing down woman, weird incest vibes-also CONTENT WARNING that the sister of the groom essential roofies her sister in law...it's just as fucked up as you think it is. Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's light, it's slight, it's a farce... The escape of it is kind of fun. Dec 22, 2020 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Everybody in this movie is miserable... Something about that was deeply satisfying. Dec 22, 2020 Full Review Peter Rainer FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) This is a benignly entertaining film. I guess you'd call it My Big Fat Jewish Wedding. Dec 22, 2020 Full Review Tara McNamara Common Sense Media Heavy drugs, drinking in midlife crisis comedy. Rated: 3/5 Jan 8, 2021 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion A wedding comedy that proves as unpleasant as a real ceremony that goes hopelessly wrong. Rated: C- Jan 1, 2021 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Writer-director Amy Miller Gross never plays it for laughs, opting instead to explore darker feelings. And while she also indulges in some badly contrived twists and turns in the plot, the film has some nice things to say. Rated: 3/5 Dec 31, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
