Rich S Feb 17 It's too long for a comedy set and maybe a little too short for a motion picture. Sleepwalk with Me probably falls best under the heading of "experimental" movies with Birbiglia making his debut as a director and is the centerpiece of the story as an actor. The acting is good. He's playing himself. And, he made three excellent choices in Lauren Ambrose (as his love interest) and, as his parents, James Rebhorn and Carol Kane. You won't be bowled over, but you will get a meaningful story of a man and an ailment that has, at times, put his life in danger. See more David R Jan 29 Birbiglia's character is flaccid and dull. I wanted to throttle him. I'll admit I could not get through the film. For me, it might as well have been called Let Me Put You To Sleep. Lauren Ambrose and Carol Kane, both talented actors, were wasted here. What a disappointment. See more Brad O Jan 5 This film is 13 years old, so if you've seen Mike Birbiglia's stand up specials, this is a bit old hat. But, I did like seeing all of the celebrities in it who have since had big careers. If you haven't seen Birbiglia's stand up specials, this is basically an indie film love story that concludes with his most famous story about him sleepwalking and jumping out the window at a La Quinta Inn.
