Thomas (Shane Barach) is a once-influential Minneapolis musician who realizes that he is aging out of the local punk scene. He also knows his relationship with his girlfriend, Jessica (Lara Miklasevics), is going nowhere. While drowning his sorrows in a cup of coffee, he makes the acquaintance of Sabina (Rose Mailutha), a single mother who is at a similar turning point in her life, and the two strike up an instant kinship that could develop into a real romance -- or just an irresponsible fling.
