"Snow Day" is a fun family romp. When the schools close it's up to Hal Brandston (Mark Webber) and his little sister Natalie to thwart the villainous snowplow man Roger Stubblefield (Chris Elliott), but Hal has his own plans. Believing that anything can happen on a snow day he sets out to win over the most popular girl in school, Claire Bonham. But, his best friend Lane (Schuyler Fisk) is hoping that he will fall for her instead. An ensemble cast featuring Chevy Chase, Jean Smart and Josh Peck are also featured. Originally conceived as a film adaptation of "The Adventures of Pete and Pete", "Snow Day" delivers hijinks, laughs and wholesomeness. It is fun and gave me some laughs. It is absolutely a boiler plate 00's teen movie in terms of story line, but I feel that is partly what I think makes it so good now.
