Audience Member Has a lot of interesting ideas, but never really goes anywhere with them. Would've been a much better film if it focused on the main character's conversion to Islam than the crime drama, which seems to go on for hours longer than it should. Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) Andrew Hulme's debut feature has moments of tremendous raw power. Rated: 3/5 Feb 17, 2015 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Paranoid sound design and woozy atmospherics accentuate the film's more experimental aspects. Rated: 3/5 Feb 15, 2015 Full Review Sophie Monks Kaufman Little White Lies A progressive reinvention of a tired genre. Rated: 4/5 Feb 13, 2015 Full Review Alexa Dalby Dog and Wolf Director Andrew Hulme tells the story very competently, but some sequences to embellish the action use hallucinations and flashbacks confusingly. Rated: 3/5 May 31, 2019 Full Review Ed Frankl CineVue Hulme is less able to fully gauge the emotional development of his main character, whose changes come with a little too suddenness. Rated: 2/5 Apr 4, 2019 Full Review Alex Zane The Sun (UK) Andrew Hulme's film does try to challenge some stereotypes. But it can't escape all the usual moody-faced hardmen saying "p*** off" that apparently make the capital their home. Rated: 2/5 Dec 30, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews
