The plot of So B. It isn't always easy to swallow, but the depth of emotion generated by the actors helps to compensate. Go to Full Review

The filmmakers seem to have forgotten that even the most serious of kid-friendly films can benefit from an injection of fun while attempting to jerk tears. Go to Full Review

The strong cast, including John Heard, Dash Mihok, Jacinda Barrett and Cloris Leachman, sells the warm, at times cloying material with earnest conviction. Go to Full Review

David C Nov 8 Well acted and heart-warming tale. No guns, car chases, super heroes just a well told story with a mixture of sorrow and laughter delivered by a strong cast. See more Thomas E Sep 3 Cloris Leachman shows her brilliance as an gifted actor. The rest of the cast is keeping up with her. The film is superb for what it is, as doesn't try to be either more clever, nor more deep than it needs to be. It's obviously fiction, but it's not fantasy; thousands of people face similiar challenges daily. This film never left me, and years later I needed to rewatch it again. See more 07/07/2018 I nearly didn't watch it because of critics score but I'm so glad I went with the viewers score instead. The movie had me engaged right from the beginning and I enjoyed it right through to the end. Although a little predictable at the end of didn't detract from the journey. See more jason s 06/29/2018 Very emotional film, one of the best I have seen for a while. See more 01/26/2018 So B. It is one of the best book-to-film adaptations I have seen. Sticking to the plot almost perfectly, the portrayals of the characters were convincing, down to the child best friend who had only a few lines. I was disappointed to see that the disabled characters did not get more screen time, but the story did not shy away from unpleasant topics. See more Read all reviews
