See more 01/03/2020 Fascinating mainly for pairing Charles Bronson and Anthony Perkins in a bizarre love triangle with Jill Ireland, contrived doesn't even begin to describe the tale fleshed out in Nicolas Gessner's 1971 attempt at a psychological thriller. Kind of a less entertaining version of the Deathtrap-variety plot twist model, Someone Behind the Door primarily succeeds in revealing just how odd Perkins and Bronson can come across on screen. Great cinematography and set design aside, the pair's awkwardly wooden performances almost sink the entire story, and the action is delivered so clumsily that most viewers won't even care why which characters are alive or dead in the end. See more 09/01/2015 The main problem of the movie is not the low budget (Anthony Perkins and Charles Bronson are enough to make an interesting movie, to me), it's the screenplay, that in some parts seems to have no sense at all.
