When aging womanizer Harry Sanborn (Jack Nicholson) and his young girlfriend, Marin (Amanda Peet), arrive at her family's beach house in the Hamptons, they find that her mother, dramatist Erica Barry (Diane Keaton), also plans to stay for the weekend. Erica is scandalized by the relationship and Harry's sexist ways. But when Harry has a heart attack, and a doctor (Keanu Reeves) prescribes bed rest at the Barry home, he finds himself falling for Erica -- who, for once, may be out of his league.

Love this film, its one of those movies you watch with a duvet, a glass of wine and some chocolates. If you are feeling down this will make you feel good and happy. Jack is greatas always and I think Diane is really funny, not sure about (Keanu as the toy boy), if you like Sleepless in Seattle and such movies you will love this.

A real mismatch. Over the hill stars and up and coming ones. Jack playing crazy womanizing Jack (when doesn't he) and Dianne a shell of her former self. Keanu as a doctor? Now that would be acting if he could pull it off. What? Were they all at a party in the Hamptons and said, "lets put on a movie"? Miss.

This flick is a fine vehicle for the older actors Nicholson & Keaton & a very entertaining ride, even if it's a wee-bit too long. No one sees to know how to tie up a tale in under two hours anymore. Keaton deserves the awards she won for this role. I am not Reeves fan as he tends to be a block of wood. Jack may be better as a comic actor than a dramatic one. Orin Domenico

Synopsis
