Ann Hornaday Washington Post Tough, tender and observational, “Sorry, Baby” suggests that Victor’s promising career has been suitably launched. The best, with luck, is yet to come. Rated: 3/4 Jul 10, 2025 Full Review Kimberley Jones Austin Chronicle I was moved to tears by the bond between Agnes and Lydie, and how Victor and Ackie bring to life the cellular nourishment true friendship provides. Rated: 4/5 Jul 10, 2025 Full Review Odie Henderson Boston Globe “Sorry, Baby” walks a fine line between comedy and drama. There are funny moments, to be sure, but they lean toward a type of irreverent gallows humor that those of us affected by trauma often wield as a defense mechanism. Rated: 4/4 Jul 8, 2025 Full Review David Harris Spin A lesser movie would turn Sorry, Baby’s script into trauma porn or a melodramatic weeper. Instead, the film signals that Victor is a major new talent who knows how to tell a difficult story. Jul 8, 2025 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies On the surface, Sorry, Baby may not seem to add up to much. It does, however, in the little moments ... [and] the stray but potent observations... Rated: 3/4 Jul 7, 2025 Full Review Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views Most filmmakers can spend their entire life not making a film even a fraction as riveting and original as Victor. It may be a long shot because of timing, but this film should get nominated for and win an Oscar. Jul 6, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Kelvin G It had some good dark humor overall especially in the year of the good sandwich. The pacing was a bit rough in some places and the acting was somewhat uneven. The "bad thing" definitely shaped the story but I didn't really agree with the tagline saying that her life stopped moving while everyone else around her did. It's worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review fran k Excellent acting, important message. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/25 Full Review Stephen T thoughtfully, honestly, and gut-wrenchingly told, this is a story we all need to watch, feel and learn from. well-written and acted, i was deeply touched by this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/05/25 Full Review jean It was very different it was very well acted it had a good story one line in the whole movie completely confused me the main character knew the guy was no good but when she told the story she said we went back to kiss him I didn't get it other than that it's worth seeing there's a few really extended long shots that are little too long for me but it was a good story about what would really happen in this kind of instance Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/04/25 Full Review Fred Loved the screenplay. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/04/25 Full Review Melissa S Loved the storyline and the characters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/01/25 Full Review Read all reviews
