Sorry, Baby is very funny in an inviting, unforced way -- like being welcomed into a group of close friends and their in-jokes. But for all the skittish, appealingly gauche humour, this feature has a serious core.

This is a different approach to trauma drama. Parts of it are too heavy-handed but overall this film, co-produced by Barry Jenkins, director of the 2016 Oscar winner Moonlight, is a strong debut feature.

This story about the emotional toll of rape approaches the trauma in an indirect and subtle, but effective, way. The acting is very strong in this movie, headed up by Victor.

This movie is excellent from the page to the screen. The way this movie portrays it's "incedent", how it almost feels more chilling by not showing it. The tenderness of the sandwhich scene, it's just beautiful.

This film is fabulous! Eva Victor is a genius whom I hope will continue to do make art like this for a long time. I sat mesmerized, humored and saddened among other many emotions felt in this film. Just watch it!
