Fourteen-year-old Abila (Samson Odhiambo) learns that his foolish father has gambled away his soul, which is now in possession of the witch Nyawawa (Krysteen Savane). Abila confronts the sorceress, who is impressed by the boy's courage. She promises to return the soul if Abila can complete seven arduous tasks in 24 hours. Along with his girlfriend Shiku (Leila Dayan Opou), Abila races throughout the neighborhoods of Nairobi, Kenya, hoping to cure his father as the clock ticks down.
