If the story surrounding that atmospheric tension was better than a reductive exposition dump, this would be quite the gem. As is, it's merely a calling card showcasing obvious talent in need of substance.

I certainly can't say this movie scared me intensely, but you know what? I actually enjoyed this one quite a bit. I feel like the story launches right into its paces quickly and moves along fairly briskly. The biggest challenge this movie had was to not play its hand to often or fall into over-repetition, and all in a, I think the director succeeded nicely. The atmosphere is largely effective, and the use of sound as both the source of terror and rescue was an interesting choice, which I though made the climax of the film work well. Definitely a story about domestic violence, PTSD and generational trauma, and one that does what a ghost story is meant to do by allowing the ghost or ghosts to be a symbol of the tragedy, or the real horror the writer wants us to consider. So yeah, overall a pretty damn fine ghost story. Not perfect, but well worth a watch or two.

Although may appear at first a bit cheezy it actually has good scares a decent plot and ends leaving you interested in a new story instead of a radio like the main movie it ends with a painting. It reminds me of lights out. All in all I enjoyed d it along with those who watched it with me.

If you like jump scares this one provides good ones. Aside from that the acting is terrible, like really bad. Extremely low budget, all the characters make the poorest choices and its extremely predictable, and tends to drag. I would not recommend unless you love jump scares.
