Lucas G My god this was so boring, i kept falling asleep and when i was awake i was annoyed… Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Audience Member The way it depicts queer trauma and paranoia is extremely chilling and effective, all while having a great performance from Bowyer-Chapman. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A very clever movie, that reflects on how fear can define us and make us see the world. It also emphasizes on how the fear and judgement of minorities, although not always seen on the surface, are still a big problem within society itself and probably always will be. In addition, the ending to this is something that truly shocked me. And trust me, with the amount of films I watch, that doesn't happen too often. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Started out boring and confusing since there was almost no backstory. Got a little more curious as it went on and things became more mysterious and sinister. I enjoyed the thriller part of it, but the ending was rather odd and a lot definitely went unexplained. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I actually quite enjoyed this. It was fairly intense and had me theorizing the whole time. I was questioning everything, cause I went into the movie kind of blind. I think this movie is super underappreciated!! The lead actor was phenomenal! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny to read so many comments about the wrong movie. Both are bad anyway. Kristy Puchko Pajiba Spiral is spooky fun, yet far from sensational or even satisfying. Sep 28, 2020 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com This movie is progressive intentionally, but not formally, and the difference between its creators' themes and consideration is unfortunately glaring. Rated: 2/4 Sep 17, 2020 Full Review Jourdain Searles Autostraddle To see a story like this was a breath of fresh air. Nov 13, 2019 Full Review Akos Peterbencze Vulnerable Man (Medium) Despite its low-budget, the movie can deliver chilling scares without being unreasonably gory and a twist that will satisfy fans of the genre. Jul 20, 2023 Full Review Jessica Scott We Who Walk Here Spiral reminds viewers that hate can hide anywhere, and while the primary targets of that hatred may change, the people in power never do. Dec 27, 2022 Full Review Joe Lipsett Horror Queers Podcast A challenging and topical consideration of the queer experience, filtered through a racialized 90s lens. Bowyer-Chapman is great and while Spiral doesn't have the supportive gay relationship some viewers want, it's still valuable LGBT representation Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 9, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
