Tim Cogshell Boxoffice Magazine A quirky, imaginative and outrageously funny little movie that will speak to more of us than any of us would like to admit. Rated: 3/5 Jun 6, 2011 Full Review Carrie Rickey Philadelphia Inquirer A potty and potty-mouthed junior-high school musical that is by turns both energetic and slack. Rated: 2/4 Jun 2, 2011 Full Review Paul Schrodt Slant Magazine Never feels authentically out-there because it still more or less toes the line of every teen comedy from Welcome to the Dollhouse to Mean Girls. Rated: 1.5/4 May 27, 2011 Full Review Brent Simon Shockya.com A laboriously quirky, low-fi coming-of-age comedy that's basically a gender-inverted rip-off of Napoleon Dynamite, plus a few bells and whistles, and minus the tater tots and actual humor. Rated: C- Jun 2, 2011 Full Review Kam Williams NewsBlaze Proof positive that hermaphrodites are people deserving of Hollywood endings, too!. Rated: 3/4 May 30, 2011 Full Review David Noh Film Journal International "Glee" has a helluva lot to answer for if it was in any way responsible for this irritating teen mess. James N I really liked this movie insomuch I bought a DVD of it when they pulled it off Netflix. I can not really nail down why I liked it. It had a good story, and did a good job of building up the characters. I was unique in a lot of ways. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the whimsical and silliness of this movie. I love (even more) the serious underlying issues that are addressed beneath those layers of whimsy & silly. I love MOST ... the freakin' dance scenes. #TootsieRoll Lol!!!
