CIA agent Richard Berk (Bruce Greenwood), a broken man ever since his wife, Angela (Catherine Hicks), left him, decides to disappear. His superior and friend, Tony Cooper (Michael Tucker), helps by bringing him to a cosmetic surgeon who will change his identity. One year later, Richard finds out that both Tony and the doctor are dead, and he fears that his knowledge about certain agents' misdeeds in Central America may be making him a target. He tries to warn Angela that she may be in danger.
