Berk and Olsen are fine stand-ins for Mickle, but without Damici, The Stakelander would be a tough sell. It's not a step up, more of a step-to-the-side, with great supporting performances (A.C. Peterson and Steven Williams in particular) and good action

Also known as 'Stakekand II', whilst not quite up to the standard of the first film, it's a reasonable enough watch for horror-action fans. Like it's predecessor, The Stakelander is underpinned by relatable characters who you actually care about. Some decent action scenes and recycled butt ugly vamps (and familiar plot lines) make for an enjoyable enough film.

Probably as good as, if not, better than the original. It definitely didn’t try to up the ante like so many bad sequels do and instead just continued with the natural progression of the story.

Not as good as the first one, but only because the first was a new, fresh idea. Still a great movie, but some how was looked over and forgotten, as it lives in the shadow of the first film.

Here's my review for the original: "Sorry, critics. This movie has a good story, a good script, a good director, good actors, and it's all-around fun to watch. I didn't have high hopes for it. Almost didn't bother. Glad I did. You can pick it apart if you want, but if you just want to enjoy a flick, this one's great. I watched it twice." Here's my review for the sequel: "Sorry, critics. I was a fan of the first film and was excited to see there was a sequel. Hadn't heard it being released either. Watched it on Netflix today and it's excellent. Has a different feel to the first film but still very exciting. I hope a third film is being made.
