The film is neither much of a character story nor an action adventure. Go to Full Review

It has high adventure, nifty special effects and much good humor, but it also has a wonderful resonance to it. Go to Full Review

After years of success at the head of the Trek universe, (Shatner) seemed to think he could do no wrong. Not only did he, but he excelled in being bad in three different roles, as an actor, as a writer, and as a director. Go to Full Review

The Final Frontier offers a frightening look into the ego of an actor who writes and directs himself as the man who proves God does not exist. Go to Full Review

Joel H Nov 14 I had been told that Star Trek V: The Final Frontier was one of the weaker films in the franchise, and I have to agree. Despite having a larger budget than Star Trek II, III & IV, this film feels cheaper than all of them. The visual effects are even laughable at parts, pulling you out of the experience. This movie is also full of stilted dialogue, corny one-liners, and goofy plot points, which detract from the interesting parts of the story. I don’t want to place all the blame on William Shatner’s directing, but that may be the reason the oddly-shaped parts of Star Trek V never seem to come together. See more Rami A Oct 18 There are a lot of great ideas in this one, but I feel with given the troubled production, it suffered a lot. Plus, I feel like it copies a lot from the first film. But, it isn't that bad. See more No O Aug 17 This film is definitely worth a watch if like myself love the original stars. And in my eyes stands out better than the motion picture. It's a good story if you open your mind to different directions. See more thiago s @Thiagostone Jul 27 Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom See more Adam W Jul 11 There are some interesting ideas here, but they aren’t relayed to the viewer in a particularly coherent way. Probably the worst Star Trek film made, although there are kernels of fun to be had. See more robert K Jul 9 It wasn't the best in the series but it was still passable entertainment for fans of the show. I just have one nagging question that the film didn't answer. What the hell was the entity they encountered? See more Read all reviews
