Katie Rife IGN Movies The first half is mostly just functional... But when Stopmotion gets gross, it gets good. Rated: 7/10 May 31, 2024 Full Review Noah Berlatsky Chicago Reader Stopmotion is a strange, disturbing, exhilaratingly perverse film, which, like stop-motion itself, brings dead objects to life, and vice versa. May 30, 2024 Full Review Philip De Semlyen Time Out It’s a wildly inventive spurt of bug-eyed British gore that pulls the innards out of the creative process. Quite literally, at some points. Rated: 4/5 Apr 1, 2024 Full Review Gavin Spoors FILMHOUNDS Magazine What helps keep Stopmotion engaging is the committed performance from Franciosi, some genuinely inspired directorial flair, and the true star of the show: the stop-motion itself. Rated: 3/5 Aug 4, 2025 Full Review Samantha McLaren Horror Press Morgan’s assured direction glues us to our seats as the tragedy unfolds in front of our eyes, culminating in a breathless and bloody third act that we’re powerless to look away from. Aug 1, 2025 Full Review Rebecca Sayce FILMHOUNDS Magazine A disturbing mediation on creativity, trauma, and mental health, Stopmotion revels in its bleakness and the obsession that comes with creating a masterpiece. Kahlil Really unique and badass Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/24 Full Review Randall M First of all, the ending SUCKED. Movie not well written but the actress did her job in keepin it somewhat interesting. Can't really say much more than that. :-)) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Shane Murrell I don’t think this movie deserves either the harsh criticism it’s getting or the overt support. It definitely felt incomplete and had more potential and used just plain gross-ness as its main horror element instead of true fear. But I think it deserves the admiration for its unique take on horror. It’s not often anymore that you see a horror movie that isn’t just a remake of the same boring, overdone themes. 6/10 Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Jesus Rayon A little confusing BUT VERY VERY VERY GOOD MOVIE for sure going to rewatch Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review K.Enzo This movie is definitely original. It’s doesn’t follow the stereotypical plot, cliches, nor relies on cheap jump scares. Stop motion does an amazing job with building suspense, creating the under layer of horror and having the viewer think. If you only watch movies for the surface value and not depth the meaning will definitely go over your head, The acting, set, directing was also awesome! Something to definitely watch if you appreciate horror films. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Stevie D this one's for the weirdos Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Read all reviews
