      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Studio 666 doesn't quite take its horror-comedy hybrid to 11, but if you're in the mood, this cheerfully over-the-top outing is a lot of fun.

      Audience Consensus

Studio 666 is exactly what you'd expect from a horror-comedy starring the members of the Foo Fighters -- and if you're in the mood for it, it's a gory good time.

Samuel D Is this a GREAT movie? In the artistic, character development, philosophical, or visual sense? Absolutely not. But is it a FUN movie? Where a group of friends got together to make their wacky dream of a B-horror movie come to life? With plenty of gratuitous gore and rock music centered dialog? Absolutely yes! I'm probably pretty biased because I love the Foo Fighters, but this movie is just damn fun overall. It's the guys being the guys, making (unbeknownst to all but Dave) demonic rock music, and essentially having a grown up Scooby Doo adventure (Pat is hilariously basically the Scooby of the gang). Don't expect cinematic greatness, but expect good laughs with the Foo Fighters and you'll love it as much as I did. I'm adding this to my Halloween favorites because my friends (and anyone around at the time) NEED to see this! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/22/22 Full Review Rocknrollgal Fabulous campy fun. Just what we love about the Foo-will probably never have this again. Fly High Hawk. We miss you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/29/22 Full Review Tyson This movie is hilarious and fun. Its by no means amazing writing or acting. But its exactly what you think it will be. Fun and campy and gory and a great way to kill a little time (pun intended) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/14/22 Full Review Langley Filled to the brim with Dave Grohls genius Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/14/22 Full Review Google Laughed the whole way through! It was like Tenacious D meets Army of Darkness. I would go see again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/22 Full Review Tamara R Thought the "monsters" were way too fake. Just kind of a corney movie. Liz Shannon Miller Consequence Loud, gory, sometimes silly, sometimes scary, and nearly always constant fun, Studio 666 is committed to old-school horror tropes with a hearty side of rock and roll. Mar 19, 2022 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Foo Fighters: great band, terrible actors. Mar 12, 2022 Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review It's not doing anything new, and I don't think they'll be giving up their music jobs any time soon...and it's half an hour too long. Mar 9, 2022 Full Review Charlotte Harrison Charlotte Sometimes Goes to the Movies A fun and immensely likeable romp. Nov 22, 2023 Full Review Zach Pope Zach Pope Reviews Bloody, it’s a lot of fun, & if you’re in the right mood there is some fun to be had.
