A takeover of the government has turned Australia into a fascist country, and the lone voice of dissent is a terrorist sect led by rebel Conrad (Alex Dimitriades). After being apprehended and sentenced to death, Conrad escapes and takes refuge in a parking garage, where he happens upon an old flame, Stone (Tasma Walton). They're not the only ones who've discovered the hideout, though, and they soon learn they're locked in with deadly remote-controlled toys manned by psychotic gamers.

Audience Member Haha who else has seen this movie! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is why Australian movies aren't taken seriously. A good cast does what little they can with some truly apalling writing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member What it lacks in plot it makes up for in quality production. The concept of "killer toys" over-simplifies the plot. It's really a tale of a VR-gamer who hunts real people. The details of the "toys" are never really explained, nor is the significance of the building. It's a solid B-grade movie that falls in the middle of the scale. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Worth one watch I guess. Very predictible, hardly graphic (it's one of those movies that doesn't really show you the killings, just the bodies in the aftermath), terrible graphics, and a lame cast all thrown together makes this nonsense. The only reason I gave it two stars is beacuse the plot was pretty cool...Every night whoever is leftover in the garage gets to "play thegame". Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Hmmm; I think more than ever I need my horror/terror/action to be truly escapist and certifiably silly - Alien vs Predator sort of thing. Subterano falls into the dystopian near-future-when-all-ethics-is-dead genre which does nothing for me. 2.5 stars because some of it is cleverly done, but that's all. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, just maybe this is the worst film I've ever seen, considering they had big budget, by Australian standards at least.
