Surprisingly unoriginal and bland for a pseudosexual Lovecraft adaptation. It’s the ‘body swap’ aspect, which has been seen too many times. The end kicks but it didn’t really feel like Lovecraft, other than the tease, where’s the kraken?

I like Heather Graham and the acting was overall pretty good throughout the film, but… the story is VERY bad. And they break their own rules to achieve a mediocre ending. I honestly wish I could unsee it and get that time back. Can’t recommend
