Carlos Aguilar Los Angeles Times "Summer Night" fails to kindle interest for its medley of flagrantly undeveloped characters trapped in bland scenarios over a 24-hour period. Jul 13, 2019 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Summer Night wears its influences a little too heavily on its sleeve. Fortunately, its talented and appealing young ensemble make it go down as easily as a cold beer on a hot...well, you know. Jul 12, 2019 Full Review Nell Minow RogerEbert.com Even the generic title suggests the apathy that ultimately overtakes the storyline. Rated: 2/4 Jul 12, 2019 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut [Summer Nighs] never rises above Joliff’s thin narrative and cardboard cutout characters, despite its likable cast. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 20, 2022 Full Review Vladan Petkovic Cineuropa Even though it is a decidedly small, intimate affair, Summer Nights offers a singular viewing experience... Sep 28, 2021 Full Review Matthew Passantino Film Threat Summer Night has an easy, breezy presence about it, but there's not much going on beneath the surface. Audience Member Overall just a chill and slightly relatable slice of life film, it could be a little corny at times and the sound mixing was a little off in the early dialogue, but it had some cool shots and overall just a chill film with not much to take away from it but you can just put it on and chill when there nothing else. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member There is no plot. I've seen a lot of stupid movies in my life but this wasn't stupid, it was just plain bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review paul p Boring from start to finish. Not one character you could like, or even care about. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Messy and nonsensical, Summer Nights really bumbles a big cast loaded with names, some of whom fail to live up to their previous work. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member its as bad as my grammar and spelling and that says a lot... basically its library quality.. small down movie one girl gets pregnant bunch of dudes go out drinking and another girl goes on a date and that's the whole movie its long its boring and i only recognize 2 actors maybe 3 and those act's don't make many films and there acting careers eh.... there's not much to them... so that's my review Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie has no actual story line, no character development and it is extremely boring.
