Anderson O The closes to a R-rated Superman Movie where going to get, Superman:Unbound is a bolder brasher Clark/Kent Superman animated movie with suprise cameo appearances and Superman remaining good, saving the lives of two separate planets. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/02/24 Full Review Max S Bad animation story with mediocre story. If you’re looking for a brainiac movie, I would suggest this over brainiac attacks but not by much. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/12/24 Full Review matthias s "Superman: Unbound" is a thrilling animated film that showcases the iconic superhero's might and bravery as he faces his greatest challenge yet. While the movie may not be perfect, it's still a solid addition to the Superman filmography and worth checking out for fans of the character. One of the film's biggest strengths is its action sequences. The battles between Superman and the movie's villain, Brainiac, are intense and visually stunning. The animation is top-notch, and the fight choreography is some of the best I've seen in an animated superhero film. The film really showcases Superman's abilities and makes you believe that he truly is the most powerful being on Earth. The voice acting in "Superman: Unbound" is also excellent. Matt Bomer does a fantastic job as Superman, bringing both strength and vulnerability to the character. John Noble's performance as Brainiac is equally impressive, giving the villain a sense of menace and intelligence that makes him a worthy adversary for Superman. Unfortunately, the film does have its flaws. The plot can be a bit convoluted at times, and some of the supporting characters feel underdeveloped. The movie's pacing also feels a bit uneven, with some scenes feeling rushed while others drag on for too long. "Superman: Unbound" is a solid animated film that will definitely satisfy fans of the character. While it may not be perfect, the stunning action sequences and excellent voice acting make it a must-watch for anyone who loves Superman. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Matthew B Best of Movies/TV Series Collection Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/19/22 Full Review Stephen C The greatest 1.25 hours ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/22 Full Review Audience Member Better than Red Son and All-Star but weaker than Doomsday and The Elite, Superman: Unbound has the same great voice acting, enjoyable action, threatening villain and decent character arcs but the animation looks somewhat weaker with an art style that looked bland in my eyes and reminded me more of Marvel's not-quite-successful venture into DT-DVD animated movies, it struggles to balance the focus between Superman and Supergirl and it has some flaws I found to be glaring such as the climax inadvertently painting Brainiac in a positive light. Unbound is decent but one of the more forgettable entries in DC's Animated Original Movie line-up even though, as I previously mentioned, I have a higher opinion of it than All-Star and Red Son. Perhaps coming out in the midst of DC's most critically acclaimed films - the two-part adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns and The Flashpoint Paradox - in their DT-DVD lineup didn't help.
