Joe W Nice movie to pass the time. However, while the protagonist is in great danger, there is surprisingly little tension. Maybe a better editor and some music could have accomplished that. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/22/24 Full Review Anna S Exceeded expectations! Great acting. Some unexpected twists! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Bill C Letia Wright and Jamie Bell did an excellent job but it was boring. I've been in the desert and the sun is so bright you can barely see yet in today's movies they always show every scene dark, even at noon! What's with that? Check out a 1950's movie for proper cinematography. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Sandra G "Surrounded" was a good movie. Letitia Wright did a WONDERFUL job, as usual. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Ryan S Love a good western... Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Mark W Letitia Wright's potent performance cannot save this film from an incoherent narrative. It is frustrating to watch. I finally gave up after an hour. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) This movie is more John Ford and Sergio Leone in that the characters talk too much. If it had been a little more Sergio and a little less John, it would've been an even better movie. Jun 28, 2023 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times Wright and Bell have a powerful dynamic, with her playing Mo as quietly ferocious and him playing Tommy as brashly theatrical. Jun 27, 2023 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times A stark and unsuspecting Western. Rated: 3/4 Jun 23, 2023 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Genre fans will relish its grit, grim dilemmas and period-perfect detail, all in service of an entertaining and believable yarn that honors both the history and the erased history of the American West. Rated: 3/4 Feb 8, 2024 Full Review Michael Clark Epoch Times Mandler’s brilliant “Surrounded” is everything dedicated fans of Westerns could possibly want. It is a throwback in every sense of the word and could have been produced at any point in the last 70 or so years by the likes of Ford, Hawks, or Eastwood. Rated: 5/5 Aug 12, 2023 Full Review Lee Zumpe Tampa Bay Newspapers Mandler shines the spotlight on the thorny relationship that develops between Mo and Tommy. Wright and Bell both deliver outstanding performances in their roles, though the script shortchanges both characters in terms of their development. Jul 27, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
