Intense, yet elegant and measured biography of a young boy's life challenge of surviving and eventually accepting his mother's premature death. Admirable Bellocchio's ability to move deep feelings without ever sliding into banality and easy emotionalism. Based on the autobiographical best-seller book by Italian journalist Massimo Gramellini.
