Audience Member Sword of vengeance is such an awful film that halfway through I shut it off. The editing is so bad so choppy everything feels like it was done on a soundstage. The acting is almost unbearable. The use of slow motion is nauseating. This movie tries to be so cool and so hip it comes off as embarrassing. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/20 Full Review Audience Member I can see why people would not enjoy this movie, but I was in the mood for it when we crossed paths. I felt it was very dark. the first third seemed as if it was filmed in black n white. If you like medieval and sword fighting check it out. It might be a pass for you if you only get down with serious type films. I saw it on Netflix. It is what it is. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member awesome movie story fight scenes death excellent portrayal Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member the error is the script. Poor at best but well shot with good action scenes Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Uufta! A wannabe cross between GOTs and Gladiator. Pretty bad. But if you like predictable gore, this maybe the one for you. I feel sorry for the actors whose names will be forever tied to this stinker on IMBD. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This is my favorite medieval movie; I don't know understand why people wouldn't like this...maybe bunch of beliebers and rebbecca black fans. so stupid Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) The ritualised action sequences work well enough. It's just a pity the film-makers did not pay as much attention to the plotting as to the design of the movie. Rated: 3/5 May 28, 2015 Full Review Wendy Ide Times (UK) It's the kind of film that confuses slow-motion with significance: a shot of some rain dripping from the end of someone's nose takes minutes but tells us nothing except that the umbrella has not yet been invented. Rated: 1/5 May 28, 2015 Full Review Mike McCahill Guardian As opportunistic Game of Thrones cash-ins go, this perversely watchable low-budget quickie at least improves upon its producers' risible Hammer of the Gods. Rated: 2/5 May 28, 2015 Full Review Victoria Luxford Radio Times There is a brutal simplicity to the action that will appeal to some, but in terms of non-violent content Sword of Vengeance seems stretched even for a relatively short film. Rated: 2/5 May 28, 2015 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Despite all the action and the relatively short running time, we seem to spend large portions of the film waiting for something to happen. Rated: 2/5 May 26, 2015 Full Review Andy Lea Daily Star (UK) Fans of samurai movies, historically inaccurate hairdos and a video camera's slow-mo button should lap up this daft swords and sandals slasher.
