A work of gentle whimsy and surprising pathos, Sylvio proposes a buddy-comedy scenario involving a most unlikely screen pair. Go to Full Review

This charming lo-fi indie from actor-director Kentucker Audley and director Albert Birney is attuned to its own eccentric wavelength, equal parts absurd and poignant. Go to Full Review

Sylvio's banal depictions of everyday loneliness through the diurnal tedium of an anthropomorphic animal brings to mind BoJack Horseman, but without the caustic navel-gazing and self-destruction or the mordant pop-culture musings. Go to Full Review

Rodrigo A 06/12/2024 Sylvio is what happens when a director decides to simply shoot a film from the heart without thinking much of the consequences. A fresh, non pretentious, heartwarming piece of comedy that isnt afraid of being unconventional. Loved every minute of it. See more @c0urtn3y 08/25/2020 i mean... as far as artsy, make-a-statement films go, it's good. but as far as an entertaining movie, it's not. i'm not going to watch it again & i don't think i'd recommend it to anyone else either. See more 04/08/2020 Usually the weirder with me the better . This just didn’t have an interesting enough back story to reel me in 2.1 See more nefasto r @Nefasto 06/20/2018 After loving "Frank" so much, I am doomed to watch every movie with people under a simple mask. I loved "Brigsby Bear" too, but no luck with this indi and lo-fi comedy-drama. It last only one hour and twenty minutes and it felt endless. There is no much story there and there is no real laugh. I have to admit that the ending is cute (not amazingly good, just cute) but wasn't enough to save the movie. See more 03/11/2018 Strangly easy to connect with. I think that's the simple geniUs of this film. See more Read all reviews
