Audience Member Critics rating this in the 50s is disrespectful. This film supported by the US Military itself is a testament and ode to the fallen. As a Marine myself this brought tears to my eyes. Semper Fidelis. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/10/24 Full Review Audience Member I have watched this movie with two of our Church youth groups on separate occasions for Veterans Day: Once with teenagers (12-18) and another with older elementary school age boys (8-11). In both instances, I found that the movie provided them insight into what happens when a fallen soldier gets escorted back home. They showed great respect for those involved: The soldier, his family, the escort, and others impacted. Highly recommended. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review S R I had a Grenada Veteran recommend this one to me and it was a good insight into the respect we pay our soldiers after they have fallen. Saw on HBO. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review John P I dont know why someone would rate this low. "Taking Chance" is a deeply moving film that powerfully encapsulates the themes of honor, integrity, and valor. Based on the true story of a Marine officer escorting the body of a fallen soldier, the film beautifully illustrates the profound respect and dedication that the military holds for its service members. With exceptional performances and understated direction, "Taking Chance" goes beyond a simple story of loss; it honors the sacrifices made by service members and the dignity of those who serve. This film is a heartfelt tribute, showcasing the quiet valor and unwavering integrity of those who uphold such ideals, making it a must-watch for anyone seeking an authentic portrayal of honor and respect. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review jt f One of the best movies I have seen. It bring home the reality of what happens to our service members who have given their last full measure for their brothers in arms & comity. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review Crystal M An amazing in movie with an amazing meaning and moral. As marines- we make it out oath to ensure we see each and every brother and sister are brought home. Having personally met the family of LCpl Phelps, this move is so impactful.
