Oct 16, 2017 Full Review Brian Holcomb Slant Magazine Lazy filmmaking that fails to engage anyone who doesn't have a personal connection to the story. It's so well-meaning that it ultimately means nothing much at all. Rated: 2/4 Feb 15, 2009 Full Review David Cornelius DVDTalk.com A film of overwhelming emotional power. jt f One of the best movies I have seen. It bring home the reality of what happens to our service members who have given their last full measure for their brothers in arms & comity. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review Crystal M An amazing in movie with an amazing meaning and moral. As marines- we make it out oath to ensure we see each and every brother and sister are brought home. Having personally met the family of LCpl Phelps, this move is so impactful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review guglielmo d It opens your mind to things that we normally don't experience... It is and remains a tear-jerking film. Very realistic and impressive, beautiful simple film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/22/24 Full Review Audience Member The true story of one man taking another home Kevin Bacon plays a marine Michael Strobl volunteering to escort a fellow soldier after he's killed in the war in Iraq His name was Chance Phillips and Strobl wants to make sure he's all well cared for as far as the funeral and paying respects This is a super short movie but one that's all about learning to say goodbye, rendering honor, and having respect and dignity in life and in death Bacon gives a surefire performance as someone who didn't know him personally but was still touched and affected as many others might've been Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Frank F I have cried the two times I have seen this movie and seeing the honor that is paid to these fallen warriors and their families is outstanding and being a Vietnamese Nam Veteran and seeing his father lay his Viet Nam medals on n the coffin broke my heart Thank you to Kevin Bacon for is awesome portrayal Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/29/23 Full Review Richard K was up late one night when this movie took over after something else that I cannot recall had finished. I wasn't paying much attention until I noticed Kevin Bacon was in it. now, who doesn't love Bacon? in this movie he proved himself versatile once again. in a very serious gut punch of a movie, he tells us the true tale of how our fallen service members return home.
