Daniel M. Kimmel Variety This silly adventure with Casper Van Dien as the latest Lord of the Apes comes across more like a sequel to George of the Jungle, but without the laughs. steve d Not a good version of an often told story. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review brendan n This wasn't a huge train wreck from the reviews or the box office. It's the hilarious moments when Tarzan feels the need to flip into water after thinking Jane had drowned or when the visual effects are super bad. This is much like The Phantom, The Shadow and The Rocketeer, guilty pleasures for the young crowd. Jane was well cast among all these other poorly cast people, Tarzan especially. I liked some of the scenery and the monkey in Janes dress but unless you have no idea of quality you'll struggle with this film. I've been going through backlog of movies and reviewing them all over again with dates but a film like this I cannot waste my time. 26-03-2018. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Despite tacky writing and a video game-esque narrative, somehow, this other 90s Tarzan picture still gets by. This is thanks in part to lush African production values (the first Tarzan film to be filmed on location), a short runtime and even a thrilling and lively score by Christopher Framke. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member A dull and bland piece of crap with no humor, whatsoever! March needs to retire and Dien needs to keep his clothes off. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie tries to be too many things at once....it tries to be a romance and fails....it tries to be mystical, but manages cheesy.....some of the animal scenes are okay, but most appear too contrived.... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Good adaption of the Novel. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
