It has its flaws in writing and direction, particularly in its pacing and clarity in the second half. It has a promising start but loses its way by the end. Go to Full Review

Story: Varun (Siddhu Jonnalagadda), an orphan who yearns for the warmth of a family, believes marriage will complete his sense of belonging. A heartbreak in his first relationship leaves him cautious and emotionally armoured. When he meets Anjali (Raashii Khanna), a woman who mirrors his values and emotional depth, Varun finally feels his dream coming true. But just when life seems to fall into place, his past returns in the form of Raaga (Srinidhi Shetty), his ex-girlfriend. What begins as a tender love story soon turns into a tug-of-war between love, ego and gender dynamics. Review: Neeraja Kona, making her directorial debut, takes on an emotionally complex subject and wraps it in a visually pleasing world. Telusu Kada feels refreshingly mature in its treatment of relationships, exploring how love can coexist with manipulation, and how self-protection sometimes masquerades as wisdom. Siddhu Jonnalagadda shoulders the film with a layered performance that moves seamlessly between vulnerability and calculation. His ability to shift moods without breaking tone adds depth to Varun's character. Raashii Khanna is beautifully restrained as Anjali-practical, emotionally intelligent, yet capable of passion. Srinidhi Shetty, as Raaga, brings fire and conviction to her role, making the conflict believable. Harsha Chemudu, meanwhile, lends understated humour that keeps the emotional weight from turning heavy. The film's first half flows effortlessly, drawing you into Varun's world with its sharp dialogues, Thaman S's evocative music and Gnana Shekar VS's rich cinematography. Neeraja's eye for aesthetics is evident in every frame-the homes, costumes and colour palettes feel lived-in yet refined. The second half, though emotionally charged, falters in pace. The writing leans on convenience, and the narrative loses its rhythm, softening the impact of its central conflict. Navin Nooli's editing is crisp, though a few indulgent moments could have been trimmed.. Thaman's music and score breathe life into the quieter stretches, enhancing the emotional undercurrents. Despite its flaws, Telusu Kada remains a heartfelt attempt to examine the complexities of modern love. It's a film that looks beautiful, and feels sincere. Verdict: Flop. See more Read all reviews
