Vernon Young The Hudson Review This one is enlarged beyond its scenario by its trenchant depiction of a man realizing too late that he has bartered his soul for an unspeakable political shibboleth. Jan 30, 2024 Full Review Isabel Quigly The Spectator What is most interesting about it is not the moral points it has to make , but the picture it gives-the social and atmospheric picture-of Nazi life at a high level: the appearance, the manner, and the attitude of a class. Audience Member Considering the time this film was made, it's surprisingly propaganda free. Although the title might suggest otherwise, it shows the people of Nazi Germany as actual human beings, not just simple one-sided evil villains. Curt Jurgens is excellent in this. Overall, it's a pretty good film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
