Helen O'Hara Empire Magazine The stories are all individually charming, but overly familiar animation and underwhelming character-design blunt the effect.  Rated: 3/5 Dec 10, 2024 Full Review Jacob Oller AV Club Schmaltz-heavy and wishlist-thin, That Christmas offers very little and doesn’t even have the self-awareness to include the receipt. Rated: D Dec 3, 2024 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian It’s all more or less sufferable, and it may well keep young children quiet at Christmas… but we surely needed a higher joke content. Rated: 2/5 Nov 27, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider It’s generally acceptable viewing fodder for families in spite of being mostly forgettable, the movie equivalent of a snowflake that dissolves the instant it drifts into your hot cocoa. Dec 21, 2024 Full Review Chris Wasser Sunday Independent (Ireland) Co-written by Richard Curtis and based on his best-selling illustrated children’s books, That Christmas keeps itself busy. Rated: 3/5 Dec 17, 2024 Full Review Alan French Sunshine State Cineplex With enough emotional catharsis at the end of the animated feature, That Christmas could be a nice gateway into Christmas storytelling for kids and teens. Rated: 6/10 Dec 15, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Abi S Simple, light hearted Christmas story with some touching moments. Very 21st century with hints at sustainability and eco anxiety. A great family film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Sjaak H An absolute gem among the many animated movies that are being made nowadays for Christmas. It makes you feel something. The storylines and the stakes of the characters matter and they are real. And thank goodness no unnecessary bursting into song. This movie did show, not tell (nor sing) very well. And it delivers you the actual Christmas spirit feelings several times over. It goes on my end of the year watch-list. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Alexis K Boring sufferfest of a movie. Full of old cliches and cheap jokes Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Jess n The most beautiful and well thought out Christmas film I have seen in such a long time , has put me in the Christmas spirit just in time for Christmas. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Michael T Amazing family movie.....!!!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Chris H Very........nice. It's well voiced (especially by the kids) and not devoid of charm, but it's just not very funny or very touching somehow. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/20/24 Full Review Read all reviews
