Audience Member Love the concept and the style of this pic, just hanging out at a BBQ watching some bands and telling a few wild ones. Love the one about the dog and the two drunks delivered by Jacobsen senior and the one line banter going back and forward in the shed by two legends. Some of the jokes are dated and gender bias but still you can't please everyone hey? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Great Australia film. May not be your thing but then again, who cares. Well done Shane and friends. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Great cast. Jokes are a bit long and lame though Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Overall I'm thankful for what this film offers. Rather than having a night of comedy stand up, the film is shot in the surroundings of having a BBQ, a beer and most importantly, a good laugh. I must admit, there's never been a film quite like it and I respect the message that's given even if it's a minor one. - Finesse Movie Reviews Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Great film, some very corny jokes told with flair. Some new ones too. If you don't like jokes don't bother. As for me I thought it was fantastic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member the best part about this is the fact that its basically alot of old dad jokes we have all heard over the years, mostly forgotten but still find amusing. I do not understand why people like Sandra Hall and Luke Buckmaster feel the need to break it down beyond anything but a good time event.. Id much rather watch this than Lord of the rings or Transformers etc, there is so much crap out there, this is a little nugget of gold amidst the piles of shit. Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald But is it funny? Looking at the laughing faces on screen, you might imagine so. Then you remind yourself that many of them are basking in the afterglow of their own jokes. Rated: 1/5 Mar 14, 2018 Full Review Luke Buckmaster Guardian This premise is pretty bloody 'strayan, and pretty bloody lazy; literally a matter of getting people to tell jokes and filming them. Rated: 1/5 Mar 14, 2018 Full Review Matthew Pejkovic Matt's Movie Reviews Blends stand-up, concert-film and documentary footage, along with a loving tribute to the love of laughter, to make for a unique and entertaining Aussie comedy. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 20, 2018 Full Review Jim Schembri 3AW There are, admittedly, quite a few laughs to be had...but what we've essentially got here is not so much a film but raw material for a film. Rated: 2/5 Mar 18, 2018 Full Review Simon Foster Screen-Space Murphy convincingly captures the celebratory high spirits of the night and the sweet intentions of his leading man. Rated: 3/5 Mar 15, 2018 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) Most gags are very old, rundown and have seen better days. Rated: 1/5 Mar 14, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
