A hard-luck repo man (Eric Fleming) and his aged partner (Robert Culp) become involved in a mixed-up kidnapping scheme after finding a famous baseball player tied up in a car's trunk. Upon learning the athlete arranged his own kidnapping to pay off his gambling debts, the men make a deal to get the ransom from the World Series-bound team and split the money.
