Michael E. Grost Classic Film and Television Hugely entertaining male bonding picture about two brawling sailors, with startling you-are-there photography. Jan 31, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Steve D Gaynor is fun in her little role but the story is all over the place especially for such a short film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Audience Member This combines numerous story elements for which Ford had an affinity--the sea, the military, brawling, parades, and even a funeral. Alas, Janet Gaynor only appears three or four times through the film, but she lights up the screen whenever she shows up. The overall story is pretty pedestrian, though it may have been hindered a bit by a missing scene of an attack at sea. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
