People in Lyon struggle with the role money plays in their lives. A tight-wad software executive, Brett (Fabrice Luchini), seems almost pathologically cheap, but he meets his match in a prostitute, Helena (Géraldine Pailhas), who knows how to pry money from the hands of the stingiest. Meanwhile, Coway (Vincent Lindon) is about to lose his restaurant, mainly because of his nonexistent skills when it comes to managing money and his aversion to taking cash from his wife's wealthy family.
