Audience Member An already miraculous story of survival during one of the most dangerous journeys ever embarked on is seriously catapulted into thrill ride territory with the wonderful editing, musical score and meditative narration. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing story! Rent it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member What an amazing documentary! Low wages, bitter cold, return to safety doubtful. Seriously, stuff like this amazes me...one that they even attempted this, two the perseverance to survive and three, the grace that watched over all 28 of them as none of them died during this 21month ordeal. Beautiful scenes, loved that 3 expert clibers tried to follow in their footsteps with high tech gear and food, took three days what these guys did in 36hrs and the photos and movies actually taken by those on the expedition. Geoff Pevere Toronto Star Fascinatingly evokes not just the gruelling, first-person details of this particular polar expedition, but the waning moments of the entire spirit of romantic, white-European Boy's Own adventurism.
