Audience Member Mark Rylance gives another wonderful performance in this dramatisation of the dowfall of Dr. David Kelly, a British weapons inspector whose reports on the possibility of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq were a driving force behind the British Government's decision to invade. Post-invasion however, he began to question how the government sexed up his initial reports, consequently leaking his doubts to the British media and setting off a chain of events which eventually led to his suicide. This fascinating telemovie manages to shed light on a singular human face, a tragic pawn in a tragic war. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather heart-breaking account of the David Kelly affair. The almost quiet tone adopted throughout adds to the piece, with the performance by Mark Rylance as Dr Kelly quite tragic. The only grievance would be the rather corny and repetitive use of flashback, but the sombre atmosphere eclipses it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
