Fast, funny and a little shocking in its pre-code drug references and gay jokes. Go to Full Review

Steve D 05/07/2023 Still quite amusing. See more 10/31/2014 One of Edward G. Robinson's gangster comedies, and a neat look at a fox outfoxing other foxes. An overlooked little gem from Warner Bros. classic run of 30's crime films. See more 12/12/2011 Funny! It had me looking forward to the ending. See more 09/22/2011 It's a great film that I enjoyed from start to finish. I'm sure all of you guys will too. See more 08/04/2011 Beer baron 'Bugs' Ahearn (Edward G. Robinson) decides to cash out and go straight as Prohibition ends. Unfortunately, he discovers high society can be just as treacherous than the mob - if you don't have any experience with it! Cartoonish, predictable, but quite funny and surprisingly sweet. Robinson shows there's more to him than tough-guy posturing as he gets laughs and (more than handily) earns our sympathy.
